Hiya All
I am expanding on the Pre Video and Video Blog Essential Series. You’ll get some neat info on how to imagine your perfect money spending client who is watching your video, show, blog or live stream.. Why do we need to know who is watching your video, show or live stream? So that we can create topics that they care about that will either solve their problem or entertain them really well Either way it helps that you know where they live virtually (what social media platforms), what they get excited about and what sort of things do they buy. This is where you can be creative and fun.. Create an Avatar The definition of a customer avatar is the following: *****a detailed profile of your ideal customer that focusses on one person and outlines everything about them.***** With your avatar in mind, who can you imagine being the most ideal customer? Perhaps you can think of the the easiest and most lucrative *in real life* people you’ve worked with in the past that could spark your imagining of the following traits:
Give your Avatar a name! Now! Write a day in their life using the smallest of details. Imagine their challenges….what gets them excited. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A little side note: Go back to the persona you created when you read this blog (create link to PERSONA) and now think. Do you believe your persona attracts your ideal audience? Yes! Awesome! No change to the persona is needed. No? You might need to change your persona to attract them…make sure that you can keep up appearances for a really long time. Your audience will always expect to see you like this. or Think of an avatar that you can attract with your current persona. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here’s an example of an Avatar that I’ve created for my own video blog. Rachel is a pretty liberal lady. She’s just turning 47 and has her degree in the arts or sciences. She has previously worked in her field in the corporate world for 25 years and has now been speaking, coaching and educating in her own business for the last 6 years. Rachel has a home in the suburbs of a populated city and cottages/vacations at her and husband’s second recreational property on the weekends when she’s not working. Her college kids join them once in a while when they aren’t at school She likes to impress visitors so she keeps her 2000 sq foot (they've downsized since the kids have left) home tidy by hiring a cleaner once a week. She is business focused. She works from her home office (or perhaps out of a satellite office) and runs out to speaking/networking opportunities…most likely outside of her city. She shops at upper level grocery stores (Whole Foods, Loblaws, Goodness Me) and is health conscious. She attends (or wants to attend) yoga/exercise classes. She drinks red wine when she relaxes and also when she’s worried about the environment, succeeding in her business, equality for gender and race and her aging parents. While her life is very busy she does travel south at least a couple of times a year On her reading list is self help books/audio podcasts and Rachel’s secret indulgence is watching Netflix to unwind in her Hotel room after an event. So you get the gist right. Rachel is the audience that you want to watch so she’s the one who you speak to create content for, Doesn’t that make it easier to know what to speak about? Always go back to Rachel and she’ll tell you what she needs to hear. Take some time. Pick up your laptop, pen and paper or notebook and write down who your Avatar is. Thanks so much for stopping by. Til next time :) CP~ Comments are closed.
