What's Your Persona.
Today I wanna discuss
Who ARE YOU!
Have you ever stopped and wondered who you are and what you are projecting?
Your identity as it’s perceived by other people?
This is often referred to as PERSONA or Identity.
If you’ve been around for a while in your business…in your life.
Imagine how people see you in the world.
Think of not only your personality, but also your style and how that defines you.
The *Feel of You*.
Why do we want to be clear on who you are? (Or who you want to be)
Becoming crystal clear on your persona makes it so much easier to know and plan for the following in your video or video blog:
What language will you use?
Are you using sophisticated academic style or scientific jargon or casual everyday speak.
What’s the tone of your episodes
Humourous, serious, dramatic, straight forward, light,
Taking some time to list what you want to *be* will take away the guesswork later.
One thing you might want to consider when *making up* a persona that isn’t close to your real personality is.
*Can you maintain it?*
Clients ask me all of the time…
“Can I swear in my Blog, show, or expert video?”
And My Answer is….
“Sure! If that matches your persona.”
If you’ve decided to create a *clean cut* persona but in real life you cuss like a sailor….
And say your goal for the video is gaining visibility to attract coaching clients
And the first thing they hear out of your mouth in real life is… *!!@#$%^*
You’ll lose that client
My advice to most is to create the character closest or exactly like your own personality.
That’s just the easiest to schtick to do.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
