What are your customer's pain points?Welcome back friends :)
Great to see you here! Have you ever thought of how your audiences problems give you an opportunity to connect with them? Allowing you to genuinely help them however you can so that it benefits you both. In an earlier blogpost, you narrowed down your audience to a one person Avatar and told an entire story around them. Where they shop How and where they live Who they associate with. And Again…why are we doing this? So that you’ll never have to wonder whether your content is RIGHT. it’s always going to go back to your *ideal* person. Now! Going back to your perfect person. Think for a sec. Try to put yourself in their shoes Usually This isn’t too hard because your ideal audience is much like yourself. Now, get out your pen and paper or open up a text screen… You’ll want to write out these questions! Are your ideal customers they searching for a solution to something? What do they worry about? What do they need that you can possibly help them with? For example.. Are they time starved and your ideas can help them save precious minutes when it counts? Are they struggling to make their business a success and you have handy tips to get them to the next level? Are they trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and you have the best on the go food ideas? Are they going through huge life changes and since you’ve gone through these changes or you’re the expert in this field, you’re the best person to tell relatable stories and offer solutions. If you’re unsure of what they want Go Find out! Recently I did exactly this. I created a 6 question survey in Google forms that I could easily and anonymously link to, share and receive responses. Then I set out to find out about those who I love to work with First I reached out to my network of already ideal clients of speakers, coaches and educators by e-mail, direct messenger. I arranged phone meetings with those amazing people already in my circle. Then I asked them to either share the anonymous survey with people in their network that met the criteria or have them set up phone meetings with me. I shared the link to the form on the social media platforms where I knew where my target audience lived (we will get into where they live in a subsequent video) The result was the following *over 100 people told me what their challenges were, what they’d like their solutions to be and how they would like the solution delivered to them. You might wonder why only 100 people? Well, this was enough for me to see patterns in the way they were thinking. It identified the main problems and the main solutions. And a bonus, I got to speak to some really fantastic new people who I would have never met. Now you know why it’s important to know your audience’s pain points and if you’re stuck how to go about finding out what those things are. Thanks so much for reading.
